Over 30 children from the island’s children’s homes and some in foster care were treated to a Merry Christmas from LIME when volunteers from the island’s premier telecoms provider took them shopping in Bridgetown on Sunday.
Some of them also had the shopping trip of a lifetime as they were accompanied by local celebrities and LIME ambassadors Edwin, Khiomal, Hypasounds and Blood, all of whom confirmed that they had a wonderful time taking the children shopping.
Children from both the foster care programme and those from the Nightengale, Sayers Court and Sterling and Farrs Children’s Homes were each given a sum of money and, along with staff volunteers and LIME ambassadors, went shopping for their desired gift.
“This is not the first time that LIME has done this, but we thought that it would be a lovely treat to again give these children some merry moments,” said head of marketing at LIME, Rachel Pilgrim.
