From as early as 5.30 p.m. yesterday, churches around Barbados started to welcome 2013.
Many filled the pews to give God thanks for the past year and ask his guidance during the coming year.
The Victory SDA Church at Orange Hill St James began their service around 5.30 p.m. with worship in song starting off with ‘To God be the Glory’.
Over at Paynes Bay Pentecostal Church in St James, the congregation started worshipping around 9.p.m.
A large congregation was evident at the Abundant Life Assembly church at Bank Hall St Michael for the start of their 10 p.m service.
