Unnecessary money!

President of the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union Mary Redman is questioning why, with all the economic challenges, additional money now has to be spent to hire teachers because of the changes at The Alexandra School.
This is after hearing that at least two schools may be looking to hire teachers to fill the gaps created from the sweeping transfers to and from Alexandra School.
The WEEKEND NATION understands there are issues at The Lodge School and Princess Margaret Secondary Schools where the teachers coming from Alexandra do not have the full skill sets as those who were sent to replace them at the St Peter institution.
Redman said the changes and dislocation were “unnecessarily” disruptive and could have been avoided if things were done differently.  (YB)
