GROS ISLET, St Lucia – Opener Chris Gayle is set to join Jamaica’s squad for the Caribbean Twenty20.
The big-hitting left-hander will replace the injured Andre McCarthy in the line up and is expected to play the side’s final match of the preliminary round against Combined Campuses and Colleges on Friday.
Gayle was not included in the original squad because of his contract with Sydney Thunder in the ongoing Australian Big Bash League.
He is set to arrive today. (CMC)
