Asking readers to help the needy

Dear Readers,
I am APPEALING for your assistance in helping the writers of the following three letters. Any help that could be given would be greatly appreciated. Please call 430-5470  if you’re willing to do so.

Dear Christine,
I am A MOTHER of four children. I have been living in someone’s backyard for over  a year now.
I went to the National Housing Corporation for assistance but I got the run around. I also went  to the Welfare Department and was told they would pay half the rent if I found a house, but I cannot pay the other half as I am  not working.
I went everywhere  I could on my own and just got the turn around.  I don’t know where else  to turn.
If someone has  a house for rent between $500 and $600 I would  be grateful. I’m really asking some good samaritan to please help.
If someone can rent  me a piece of land, the Urban Development Commission would build  a home for me.
I’m also asking for a television and living room chairs since those I had weredestroyed by the rain.  I am desperately in need  of help. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
– Mother of Four
Dear Christine,
I am GETTING MARRIED in three months. My problem is that I am a plus size.  I wear size 20 or 22.
Wedding dresses are very expensive. Both families are helping with the wedding. I have lost my job and  I cannot afford to buy  a dress.
I am kindly asking anyone who can assist me or knows anyone who has a white wedding dress that they can give  to me to get in contact.
I would be very grateful, even if it is a bigger size that can be altered. Thank you.

Dear Christine,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I hope the Lord will bless you with the strength  to continue doing your  good work.
I wrote to you before and have received some assistance, but I am in need of some help once more. I am a pensioner and funds are quite limited. I have run  into difficulty paying  my water bill. When  I receive my pension  I have to buy food, pay  the electricity bill and the court.
I asked my parliamentary representative for  help and he turned  me down. I also visited  the Welfare Department  but was told that I had  to pay half the bill.  So I’m writing to you  for help.
I am willing to work  it off. I can clean, iron  or wash. My only restriction is the  arthritis in my back and feet but I’m still willing  to work.
Please, I don’t want money in my hand.  If anyone is willing  to help, they can have  the bill.
Thanks, Christine,  for your time and space.
