What used to be an area that would flood only once or twice a year has turned into a huge lake, and residents say it is full of precious water that leaked out of a burst main.
“I?have never seen it like this,” said sheep farmer Elliott Burnett, who has lived at Train Road, Marchfield, St Philip, for over 30 years.
One of his sheep even fell into the lake and drowned.
Burnett, whose sheep are pastured on the open field, said he noticed the main dripping water two months ago.
