Firefighters averted a potentially perilous situation at Eagle Hall St Michael yesterday evening.
They responded to a blaze that broke out at Foxxy’s Upholstery just after 6 p.m. – just metres away from Rubis’ service station and next door to Jon’s Beauty Salon.
The fire attracted a huge crowd and brought traffic to a standstill, forcing police to cordon off the area.
Foxxy’s owner, Neville Boucher, could only watch in disbelief as firemen worked valiantly to put out the blaze.
Boucher, 39, who has been operating his business there for the past 10 years, told the SATURDAY SUN that he was cooking when the fire broke out.
