She didn’t fall for my gifts

Dear Christine,
I?AM 49 years of age. I have my own business, home and a few vehicles. Sometimes I like to just catch the bus as it takes away some of the stress of driving.
During the few times that I have used public transportation, I met a sweet and kind woman. Her name is A . . . and she usually gets off the bus on Collymore Rock.
Christine, this woman has a kind heart and mind. I also know she has a young child and that she and the child’s father are friends.
I have asked her out but she has refused. I have offered her [material] things and she has refused.
She asked me: “What can you give me that my guy is not giving me?” I offered her money, but she said “no thanks”.
I offered to take her to work, but she also turned that down. I told her I wanted to make love to her and she asked me if I was mad.
She said she does not believe in cheating, and how can a person love another person then go and have sex with someone else?
She asked: “How can you look that person in the face and tell them that you love them? How can you sleep at night with yourself?”
She told me that it takes one act of sex to get pregnant, catch the HIV virus or be infected with sexually transmitted diseases. She added that she “has respect” for herself and her family and would never do such a thing.
Christine, she is a good woman. I hope that man knows what he has. I have a greater respect for her.
Most women would have taken my money and all that I offered, but there are still some sweet women out there.

 Dear D,
Yes, there are still some really nice, honest women around and the same goes for men. Not all are as bad as they are made out to be.
I hope A sees your letter and continues to hold her head up high.
– CHRISTINE
