Barbados swimmers Sariyah Sherry and Damon St Prix took the honours of most outstanding club members when Alpha Sharks Swim Club held their awards ceremony and dinner at the National Union of Public Workers’ Auditorium on Sunday night.
St Prix and the United States-based Sherry were recognized for excelling locally, regionally and internationally, over the past year. Every member of the longest established swim club in the island and the coaching staff were also commended.
A special tribute was given to Ancille Inniss who has been coaching at Alpha for over two decades. Recognition was also given to Joanne Sherry, who celebrated her birthday on the day of the ceremony.
President Neil Titus praised all of the awardees and coaches and invited everyone to build on the successes to make Alpha even better in the coming years. (KB)
