Chairman of the board Arthur Lok Jack said in a statement that the retirement took effect on February 1.
Cave was first appointed to the board of Neal & Massy Holdings on February 17, 2009. He is currently the chairman of the Board of Directors of Cave Shepherd & Co. Limited – a Barbados-based corporation with subsidiary and associate companies located across the region.
He has served as director and chairman of several leading private and public organizations in Barbados.
“I wish to thank Geoffrey for his commitment and contribution to our board of directors. We wish him well in his retirement,” Lok Jack said.
Meantime, Trinidadian Robert Bermudez has been elected deputy chairman of the Neal & Massy board.
He currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of the Bermudez Group of Companies – a Trinidad and Tobago company with subsidiary and associate companies located across the Caribbean and in Latin America.
He has enjoyed a distinguished career in business and is also associated with several other corporate bodies in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean.
In 1997, Bermudez was elected to the board of Neal & Massy Holdings and was one of the youngest appointed board members in the history of the company. He is also the longest serving director on the board of Neal & Massy Holdings, having been there 16 years thus far. (PR/DP)
