QUEEN’S PARK was opened to children yesterday as they had first chance to view the exhibitions of Agrofest 2013.
Hundreds of children from almost all the schools benefited from interactive sessions about renewable energy, farming, animal rearing and the benefits of including fruit and vegetables in the diet.
This year’s exhibition focuses on bringing greater awareness about green economy and renewable energy under the theme Renewable Energy – Leading The Charge Into The Future.
Exhibitors got a chance to reinforce in the students the importance of using renewable energy in the agricultural sector and not only in the areas that are commonly talked about.  (LK/CA
