Children the light of her life

SHAUNA CRICHLOW has always loved children. The leggy, tourism sector employee says that she has a desire to open a nursery of her own. This has been a long-standing goal that was firmly in her mind before she entered Deighton Griffith Secondary School.
“I had decided after the birth of my now two-year-old son to return to school to pursue my degree in early childhood education,” said the 23-year-old.
However, for personal reasons Shauna decided to delay her studies until her son was old enough to go to school.
“I hope to restart the programme in 2014, and after completing my studies I will be qualified to run my own nursery and therefore be able to accomplish my goal,” she said.
