Machel fined TT$27 000

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – Magistrate Maureen Baboolal-Gafoor today slapped fines totalling TT$27 000 (One TT dollar = US$0.16 cents) on Soca star Machel Montano, who had been found guilty of assaulting four people and using obscene language outside a night club in 2007.
Montano, was fined TT$13  700 dollars and also has to pay   500 in compensation to the victims of the brawl. (CMC)
