Police believe they are making inroads into local marijuana cultivation.
“We were able to make quite a few seizures last year, and wºe have started this year with some success as well,” Superintendent Grafton Phillips, chief of the police drug squad, told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday.
Phillips was speaking after lawmen reported the seizure of another large cannabis crop – 1 500 plants.
He said, however, that since the demand for weed was high, they expected a lot more work in the future. (BA)
