“It cannot?be business as usual!”
That was the warning yesterday from Opposition Leader Mia Mottley who said Barbados had to get back on a path of growth.
She made the comments while announcing the shadow portfolio assignments for the Barbados Labour Party (BLP)?parliamentary team at a Press conference in Parliament Buildings.
And with the annual Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure debate due to take place between March 18 and 22, Mottley noted that Government’s Medium Term Fiscal Strategy proposed $75 million in cuts in this financial year and she would be watching to see if this is fulfilled.
She said her team, even though made up of five new members, was ready to participate. (MB)
