A perennial British visitor to Barbados is about to pump about $3 million into the Lone Star Hotel and Restaurant on the West Coast.
Multimillionaire David Whelan, 76, became the new owner of the St James property last week after purchasing it for $26 million.
The former footballer and businessman has been visiting the island for nearly 40 years and told BARBADOS BUSINESS AUTHORITY that over the coming months he would invest more money to enhance the oceanfront boutique hotel.
