A new farmers organization could soon be up and running in Barbados.
The proposed Farmers Association of Barbados (FAB) was introduced to a wide cross-section of farmers who attended a meeting on praedial larceny facilitated by the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Wednesday.
It is the brainchild of young farmer Deborah Hunte, who said her vision is to make the FAB the ultimate organization for farmers. She said the FAB’s motto is Happy Farmers – Well-fed Nation.
