Proute wired by electrical trade

 ARYN PROUTE is a 21-year-old with plans to become an  electrician. The young mother works with her father at his business in Speightstown, St Peter, and says that working in an electrical supply store and dealing with the customers have helped fuel her love  for the trade.
“I see the electricians come in all the time, and I know that is something I want to do,” says the vivacious Karyn.
 What little free time Karyn has is spent with her two-year-old daughter.
“I try not to party too much because I find that young people don’t know how to behave and I want to see my daughter grow up,” she said.
“Once upon a time at a fête, if there was a noise someone would say, ‘I coming back for you’. But nowadays everybody walking with gun or knife and they are ready to fight. I don’t want to be in that.”
Sticking close to home, Karyn keeps her friend circle small and loves watching TV with her toddler.
