QEH officials to update on bacteria strain

Barbadians will get an update on the resurgence of a strain of bacteria, Klebsiella Pneumonia, when the top brass of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital meets with the Press at 2 p.m today.
In today’s DAILY NATION it was reported that hospital officials confirmed that a number of wards had been hit by a strain of bacteria that resisted many drugs.
The Press will hear from Chief executive officer of the hospital, Dr Dexter James; Dr Joy St John, the chief medical officer; Dr Clyde Cave, head of Paediatrics; Dr  Corey Forde, Infection Disease Specialist and Dr Ernest Pate, Caribbean Program Coordinator, PAHO/WHO.
