Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s kingdom. – Matthew 26:26-29
“ANEW” is the word I choose from the above quotation to commence our programme titled Our Holistic Ascension.
For the last two weeks this column directed you on how to cleanse the body using silent doctors. Therefore, now that we have cleansed the body and understand what research has revealed about processed and other unholistic foods, we will now heal and energize our system. We are at our ascension.
This week we will commence our first ascension talk by being educated about a tree whose properties are excellent for building up the body.
This tree deserves our protection. It was a target of attack along with the silk-cotton tree in the (Warrens) highway construction. Of note, other such trees are found in Barbados, the most central being in Queen’s Park, Bridgetown.
I empower all readers to acquire the conscious energy to have greater appreciation for these trees and our holistic ascension.
Silent doctor baobab is a Barbadian treasure. Our African ancestors used if for hair, health and overall well-being. Silent doctor baobab also goes by the name magic, chemist or top-down tree, tree of life, and symbol of earth.
The entire tree can be used for healing.
Its nutrient content includes protein, carbohydrates, vitamins A, C, B1, 2 and 6, calcium, fibre, potassium, phosphorus, iron and antioxidants. Its seeds can be consumed fresh, dried or roasted.
A paper published by a researcher from the University of Ferrara revealed that the baobab can be used to boost the immune system, for kidney and bladder infections, inflammation, insect bites, reperfusion injuries, malaria, cancer, early ageing, neurodegeneration, respiratory disorders, cardiac disease, transplantations, diabetes, intestinal diseases, atherosclerosis and rheumatic disorders.
It can also be used for stress, weight loss, asthma, stomach ulcers, fatigue and other challenges.
I implore you to conduct further research on silent doctor baobab.
It is a historical and healing tree. After lying unnoticed as a healer for many years, its properties must be explored. I love the baobab tree and always make my visits to her.
Finally, we are advised by the Creator through Revelations 22:2 that “On each side of the river grew a tree of life . . . its leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.”
