THERE?WERE?some very angry passengers at the Grantley International Airport yesterday.
It was all because their flights, booked on American Arlines, had to be pushed back because of a computer glitch that affected the airline’s reservations system.
Many of the passengers lamented that the airline waited too long to inform them that their flights were cancelled.
“We understand things happen, but it is the way American Airlines handling this thing. [It] is ridiculous. We are people, human beings, and we should be treated better. No information and no one is saying anything to us. We are now trying to get accommodations after five hours of waiting around,” said a passenger in transit from St Vincent, who gave her name only as Jennifer.
It was equally frustrating for newly married and birthday girl Nadine Weinberger, who was here with her husband Denis Klisch.
