Galoshes, check. Umbrellas, check. Crowd partying in the rain, check.
Even the showers could not stop the thousands who flocked to Brandons Beach for the ninth annual Digicel Barbados Beach Party last night.
Even with the hour-late start, deejays kept things hyped before the popular Bajan artistes such as Crab Soldier and Crimeson did their popular tunes.
But it was around 8 p.m. that the crowd erupted when Elephant Man hit the stage. Belting out his hit song Pon Di River, both the Jamaican superstar and the crowd were in a frenzy doing the Willie Bounce.
By the end of his energetic set, the crowd was eagerly awaiting performances from Bounty Killa and Aidonia.
Warming up the stage before him was Mad Dog, with energetic dancers and Tifa.
A check with police confirmed the event was incident-free up until Press time.
Here, Elephant Man whipping the umbrella-sheltered crowd into a frenzy.
