Police officers were in action yesterday, doing one of their random vehicle checks at the junction of Taitt Hill, St George.
Led by Station Sergeant Rodney Inniss of the Police Traffic Department, the officers stopped a number of cars, Motocross motorcycles and trucks in an effort to ensure road users were up to date in terms of their insurance, road taxes and licences.
“Beside ensuring checks and balances on all vehicles, we’re also aware of reports of stolen motorcycles,” Inniss informed.
He also took the opportunity to caution stunt riders to “display your skill, but not on the public roads”. He said that the police were working hard to keep the riders from being an obvious and deadly threat to other road users.
