DEAR CHRISTINE: Don’t know if my husband loves me

Date:

Share post:

Dear Christine,
I have been married for the past eight years. Quite unexpectedly, my husband started treating me in the most uncaring way that led me into thinking he really does not care about me.
He has encouraged his women to telephone him at all hours. When I asked him about me, he abused me and I went back to my parents’ place.
Since then, one of his female friends laughs at me whenever I meet her on the street. My husband comes to my parents’ home and has sex with me. I have asked him if he still loves me and he sometimes says yes. On other occasions, he’ll say he is not sure.
How can I be sure that he loves me? I would hate to move back into our home and have the same thing happen.
Christine, my head is in a muddle. How can I know if he is for or against me? Should I continue to have sex with him when he wants to? What is the best thing for me to do?

Dear BC,
Let’s take a look at the facts of your situation.
• Your husband encourages his women to call him at home.
• He has abused you.
• He is not always sure that he loves you.
• He comes around when he needs sex.
Look at the list and tell me if you believe he truly loves you and is for you. My answer would be no!
It seems he is all about himself. Has he even asked you to come back to him? Is he satisfied with the present arrangements to have sex with you at your parents’ home?
Take a good look at the facts.
You can decide if you want to forgive your husband, but being happy and starting a new and better life seem better options, don’t you think?
– CHRISTINE
