Eye on England

The Barbados Netball Association (BNA) is exploring the option of playing international matches in England this year after a proposed quadrangular series in the Caribbean failed to materialize.
Earlier this year, BNA president Nisha Cummings announced Barbados would be playing a series of Test matches against world No. 4 Jamaica, No. 8 Trinidad and Tobago and 13th-ranked hosts St Lucia at the end of next month.
Those matches would have fulfilled part of Barbados’ annual quota of eight Test matches, but that is now in jeopardy.
“Jamaica have not accepted and [the organizers] have not heard from Trinidad and Tobago,” Cummings told NATIONSPORT in a recent telephone interview.
“St Lucia is near and we were hoping to play against Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago who are ranked higher than us.”
