RAIN, don’t stop the jam!
A well used fashion accessory on Farley Hill National Park yesterday was umbrellas. The torrential and intermittent showers had the thousands of Bajans who came to the climax of the four-day Digicel Barbados Reggae Festival doing a up and down dance as they partied to the sweet sounds of reggae from about two dozen local and international artistes.
Running a bit behind schedule, the ninth annual Reggae On The Hill show saw a number of local acts, including Indra, LRG, Albert Olton, Supafrost, and Brimstone on the stage.
By time the highly anticipated Jamaican line-up performed, the crowd had swollen and surged to the front of the stage to see Bushman, Junior Reid and Admiral Tibet, who took patrons down memory lane with Leave People Business Alone and other hit tunes.
He was followed by Grammy Award-winning Shaggy, who had the crowd begging for more, Taurus Riley and crowd closer Busy Signal.
