Last-minute filers

Nearly 90 per cent of this  country’s workforce are  using electronic filing but  that did not stop hundreds  of Barbadians making their  annual last-day trek to the  Inland Revenue Department  to file their income tax  returns yesterday.
From as early as 8 a.m., there were long lines of people standing outside the Treasury Building, keen to ensure that they make the April 30 deadline and avoid the $500 penalty.
