Some of the workers in the drainage division finally got their pay cheques today after threatening strike action. The remaining workers are still waiting to receive payment.
However the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) claims there are other problems regarding payment among other agencies in the Ministry of the Environment, including the National Conservation Commission.
