POLICE ARE expected to charge the man suspected of killing Brenda Belle today.
Belle, of St Barnabas, St Michael, was slashed to death, allegedly with a cutlass, as she sought refuge in the home of a friend in Cutting Road, Haggatt Hall, St Michael. She was 64.
The suspect is reported to have ingested a poisonous substance afterwards and was admitted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He was released on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, police said a man was assisting with their investigations into the death of two-year-old Joshua Boyce, who was struck by a car on Friday while standing in front of his 4th Avenue, Skeete’s Road, Ivy, St Michael home. (CA/PR)
