The fondest memory Charles Alleyne has of his son is of them playing tapeball cricket together.
Alleyne is mourning the loss of his son, Antonio Harewood, 24, who was stabbed to death in Westbury Road, St Michael, on Sunday at 5:50 p.m. during an altercation with another man, who is currently in police custody.
The saddened father was sitting in his porch in 2nd Avenue, Knights Land, Westbury Road, St Michael, “taking it easy” when a DAILY NATION team visited.
“Me and he used to bat together down by the playing field by Courts and I would coach while on the field. He had potential as an all-rounder,” he said, adding that his son loved the sport and used to play Intermediate cricket for Dover.
