Art is a subjective medium. Different styles appeal to different people. The same piece can have a variety of interpretations, depending on the viewer. This variance also influences people’s reactions, determining whether they are inspired or offended.
Any visitor to Frangipani Art Gallery, at Sugar Cane Club, Maynards, St Peter, will probably tell you that each piece of art tells different stories to its viewer. However, all will agree that the pieces are either superbly painted, sculpted, etched or hand-made to create fine works of art.
Most pieces from this gallery represent the works of artists from throughout the Caribbean and farther afield.
The Frangipani Art Gallery also prides itself on its diverse selection of work by veteran and emerging artists and would be a great place to visit when searching for that special piece to enhance your surroundings. (CH)
