Police have arrested and charged Terrence Caswell Meusa, 43 years, a Guyanese national, for the offence of arson, in relation to a fire which occurred at the Rio Guest House, St. Lawrence, Christ Church on 17 September 2012.
Meusa arrived in Barbados on 9th September 2012 and checked in at the Guest House. A fire occurred about 2am on the 17th September which damaged the downstairs and upstairs sections. Meusa left the island sometime later. Investigations developed Meusa as a person of interest in this matter. He returned to Barbados in May 2013 and was subsequently interviewed and charged for the offence.
Meusa is expected to appear at the District A Magistrate Court on Monday 27 May 2013. (PR)
