Trinidadian charged with drugs

Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and charged Trinidadian national OBrian Kenny Mackie, 25, for drug offences.
The charges include possession of one and a half pounds of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.
Mackie arrived by air from Trinidad on Saturday and was interviewed by police after clearing Immigration.  He was referred to a Customs where nothing was found, according to a release today from the police.  He was then taken to Oistins Police Station where a more thorough search was conducted and six packages containing the illegal drug were found in a false bottom of a his suitcase.
Mackie is expected to appear at the District B Magistrate Court today.  (CM)
