Church moving from City noise

WITH?SO MANY CHURCHES springing up all over Barbados, it is most unusual to see a For Sale sign posted on a church building.
But the noise at Baxters Road, The City, has become so overbearing that the pastor and congregation at the historic Berean Bible Church at Passage Road, St Michael, are ready to move.
Pastor Ronald Trotman, who has led the church for the past 40 years, told the MIDWEEK?NATION?that he and his flock – of 150 actual members, although as many as 250 people attend the services – were heading to quieter pastures at Hothersal Turning, St Michael.
Built in 1954 by a member of the prominent Tudor family of nearby Westbury Road, the white-painted church with its architectural styled cathedral windows is being sold for around $1.2 million.
