THE Sol Rally Barbados title is heading back to England.
Paul Bird, driving a Ford Focus WRC 07, won the event for the second successive year on Sunday.
Partnered by Alan Davies, Bird maintained the lead he created after Saturday’s 11 stages.
The pair kept in control throughout the 12 stages on the final day to emerge winners ahead of Jamaicans Jeffrey Panton and Mike Fennell in a Ford Focus WRC06.
Barbadian Roger Skeete, a 12-time winner of the event, finished third in a Subaru Impreza WRC S12, while Neil Armstrong, champion in last weekend’s Scotiabank King of the Hill, took fourth place in a Suzuki Sx4 WRC.
