Kesha Young is a 30-year-old mother desperately in need of help.
Yesterday, the young woman limped into the NATION’S Fontabelle offices dragging a swollen, heavily bandaged leg and cradling her 18-month old son Kadon in her arms to plead for assistance with her plight.
The Halls Village, St James resident shares a family home with two older brothers, which she claims is in a dilapidated state with rotting floor boards.
She said she had been caring for herself and her baby son on a $162 fortnightly allowance from the Welfare Department, but struggled daily to feed them both as well as keep her child supplied with basic necessities such as disposable diapers.
