Police last night seized drugs at Long Pond, in St Andrew.
A release today from the police public relations officer Inspector David Welch stated that members of the Drug Squad led the operation around 9 pm yesterday at that locatio and were assisted by the Police Marine, the RSS, and later by Police attached to the Northern Division.
They seized nine taped packages and eight polythene bags containing cannabis, weighiing 1002 pounds. A boat was also seized, after it ran aground in the sand.
Two male Barbadian nationals are currently assisting with investigations which are continuing. (CM/PR)
