CURIOUS St Chistopher Primary School students were taken on a tour yesterday of the Soil Conservation Unit in Haggatts, St Andrew.
The tour was part of the activities of the Ministry of Environment’s World Day To Combat Desertification and included a trip to the East Coast. Afterwards, the children were treated to lunch at Farley Hill Park.
Environmental officer Kim Downes-Agard said the theme this year was Don’t Let Our Future Dry Up. She said the programme would continue today with Ellerton Primary, on Friday with St Bartholomew Primary and next Tuesday with Wesley Hall Infants School. (CA)
