Gabby ‘fools’ Bag

Barbados’ two most celebrated calypsonians went head to head again on Sunday – on the cricket field this time.
In the lead-up to the celebrity match in aid of Keana Banfield, Mighty Gabby (with microphone) promised Red Plastic Bag (in red shirt) he would dismiss him with a “foolsra”, an apparent play on the “doosra”.
As it turned out, Gabby didn’t get Red Plastic Bag out directly, catching him at slip before a crowd of about 600 at the Windward Club ground in Lucas Street, St Philip.
Gabby’s Western Union Windforce won the match against Red Plastic Bag’s Scotiabank Volcanoes and after the game, the two rivals embraced during the presentation ceremony.  (Picture by  Insight Digital.)
