An employee of Savings Plus Supermarket on St Michael’s Row received lacerations to the head yesterday after a scuffle with two assailants who robbed him of a bag.
Public relations officer of the Royal Barbados Police Force Inspector David Welch said the incident occurred at about 9 a.m. at a car park where the male employee was accosted by two men who demanded the bag. He was treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Meanwhile, two employees of the Olympus Cinemas at Sheraton Mall, Christ Church, were held up and robbed around 10 a.m. yesterday.
Welch said two men stole an undisclosed sum of money from the establishment. No one was hurt in the incident. (LK)
