PRIME MINISTER Freundel Stuart addressed the Caricom Heads Of Government meeting here last night reminding his regional counterparts that the road ahead was tough but not insurmountable.
He said there would be “no Easter without Good Friday” and “no child birth without labour” and urged those gathered not to despair in these tough economic times even in the face of the “increasing number of Jeremiahs” in society.
“The people of the region are no strangers to daunting challenges,”?Stuart said.
“Our history of slavery, indenture, racism has more than prepared us to deal with the challenges that have come our way.”
