THE KING is crying foul over a Jack taking his crown.
Reigning World Go-As-You-Please draughts champ Ronald “Suki” King has blasted the decision to change the tournament rules after losing his national title to long-time rival Jack Francis last week.
In a candid interview with WEEKENDSPORT, King contended that the knockout section of the national championship should be deemed invalid as no draughts tournament in the world is played under such a format.
“The normal system that they run is a round robin where everyone plays everyone and the man with the most points is adjudged the winner but that never happened,” said King.
