House pride

House of Soca not only showcased 15 calypsonians, including two former Pic-O-De-Crop monarchs and two Junior Monarchs for ‘judgement’, but their costumes are quite a sight.
On Thursday night at Queen’s College, crowd favourite Malik turned out in a gown, Shaki-K donned elderly garb, while Hee-Haw wore a mask.
The cast served up an array of topical songs, and the crowd, which included Central Bank Governor Dr DeLisle Worrell and wife Monica (foreground), lapped up the offerings.
A patriotic Jimmy Dan (left), bedecked in national colours, showed Allegiance in his topical issue. (NS)
