But wha’ really happen tuh the women nowadays, though? Well, I shouldn’t say the women; tuh be fair, it ain’t all the women ’cause duh got a lot o’ women who got duh heads on real good and nuh matter how hard things get, duh doan intend fuh a soul tuh make a fool o’ dem nor make dem lose sight of their dreams nor goals.
There are women who come along poor and made up in duh minds from early o’clock dat, nuh matter what, dem ain’t gine through the things dat their mothers went though in order tuh make ends meet. Fuh example, my niece who used tuh say dat she ain’t gine be poor fuh a boy – she used tuh say, “Poor sucks.” She is now a doctor. And another set o’ women who, against all kinds o’ odds, went tuh school, study hard and come out wid some good qualifications and now in jobs dat paying extremely well.
Duh got a lot o’ what duh call professional women out there who doing really well fuh demselves and duh got feelings and emotions like any other woman. Some o’ duh married wid a few children or have a boyfriend. Some might even be divorce and have children tuh look after or not married and have a child.
But what I trying tuh say is dat duh still doing things and getting on wid duh lives instead o’ letting demselves be a doormat fuh anybody – duh got good minds.
Duh got some women out there who went through some rough times when they were children, all types of abuse, but duh come through. Some ain’t know what it is like tuh say daddy; duh nevah see he yet. Some o’ these women might even have a couple o’ children from different men like duh mother but decide dat, despite what, dem children ain’t gine come along like dem; nuhbody, nuh man ain’t coming along and abusing dem nor duh children.
But then duh got another set o’ women who like dem cahn do wid-out a man fuh any period o’ time. Sometimes it looks like any man would do, as long as um is a man. I talking ’bout the kinda women who would continue tuh write into Dear Christine and ask fuh advice fuh some o’ the most foolish things. Some o’ dem want advice pon things dat dem do, coulda or shoulda do but didn’t do and now find duhselves in a per-dic-a-mant, obviously cahn undo it nor cahn find a way out and now expect somebody tuh give dem advice pon foolishness.
Look, I like reading the newspapers. I does make sure dat I read the letters and comments from ordinary people. I doan miss Dear Christine nor the confessions, and fuh some o’ the things dat women allow demselves tuh go through, I wonder if duh love demselves at all. Sometimes after reading some o’ the letters, I does have the answers fuh dem but when I read the ones dat Christine give, at times I feel she too flipping lenient wid dem. I would like Dear Christine tuh stop being suh nicey nicey when she answering some o’ these women and leh dem know the straight hard facts.
Like the woman who meet a man, exchange numbers, call the man and a woman put down the phone in she ears. Now dat shoulda sent off a bell in she head, but nnnnooooo! She now gone tuh de man house and see shoes and clothes there, ask the man who duh belong tuh and he tell her he daughter. Then pictures, he daughter and she at the man place all the time. Mind you, you separated from you husband and got a man, hear? But you still find youself at a man place. Next thing a woman come home and pour some serious licks in you tail. Well, I gine tell you: all like now so, you should still be getting licks. Talk ’bout foolish?
Then these kinda women so, after doing summuch igrernts, does got the gall tuh be writing and warning other women tuh stay away from this particular man because he is a lying this and the next. Now, this is what does got me: what these women doan understand is the men so because a lot o’ women got dem so. Women encourage dem tuh be so and then when dem get a li’l common sense, cahn take it nuh more, or duh get a good beating, dem complaining, writing Christine and warning other women.
Duh got a lot o’ women out there who does want tuh do as duh like wid men because it suits dem but when it backfires ya does hear dem. Some o’ dem like tuh horn other women and get wid the man and treat the woman bad but when the same man turn around and do the same thing tuh dem, he is the worst thing in the world.
Women need tuh stop and look at the things duh doing. It ain’t only the men. The men so because a lot o’ the women got dem so by continuing to encourage dem in duh foolishness.
