BARBADOS’ Emergency Response workers  are still closely following the path of Tropical Storm Chantal with the eye of the system still expected to pass north of Barbados this morning.
Hamden Lovell, acting director of the Barbados Meteorological  Services said the system was 75 miles east of Barbados and projected to pass about 50 miles north of the island adding that a lot of rain could be dumped on the island since  some rain bands are embedded behind the system.
Officials from the island’s Department of Emergency Services have urged Barbadians to still stay indoors and wait for the all clear to be given before venturing outside given that the tropical storm warning was still in effect.
