BARBADIANS WERE ALREADY ON alert after being told to brace for the impending wrath of Tropical Storm Chantal.
But no one warned Mackeson Brittons Hill about OKG Rendezvous as the Premier League side were simply blown away by a 6-1 thrashing in the final of the KFC Champions Cup at the Wildey Football AstroTurf on Sunday night.
Rendezvous were led to the title by another standout performance from 30-year-old Vincentian and tournament MVP Shandel Samuels, who bagged a hat trick. His cousin Myron Samuels, who netted a brace, showed exactly why they are considered one of the best teams on the island, despite being in Division 2.
In fact, by winning the competition, Rendezvous became the first team from that division to do so in more than 30 years.
