Powell among Jamaican athletes who tested positive

Jamaican Olympic gold medallist Asafa Powell and his MVP team mate Sherone Simpson have tested positive for banned substances.
The details of the positives tests are unclear but Simpson, a 100m silver medal winner at the 2008 Olympic Games has already issued a statement.
She is a gold medallist in the 4x100m relay from the 2004 Olympics. Powell, a member of Jamaica’s Beijing Olympics gold-medal-winning relay team and a former world record holder, has also returned a positive test The Gleaner understands.
