Sweet mix a hit

WITH SO MANY souls on fire at Ilaro Court last Saturday night, it was fortuitous that a high priest was on hand to make necessary interventions during High Mas.
The inaugural Soca And Pan show put on by Kiwanis Club of Bridgetown evidently made for such a potent mix, that despite the fact that people were not spilling off the lawns, the club is considering making it an annual event.
Lovers of soca and pan had to sit for longer than anticipated for the main event to get under way, but based on the response it was definitely worth the wait.
The lure for many was the opportunity to be up close and listen to the sweet-singing soca man from Trinbago, Baron, and the high priest of calypso David Rudder. Neither would disappoint.
