MUSICIAN GEORGE JONES, a colon cancer survivor, is preparing for another major step on the road to full health – he is looking for a kidney.
Jones, a former keyboardist with the now defunct band Square One, and who fought the cancer successfully three years ago, is now on dialysis three days a week and wants a transplant that get him off the machine.
Jones said the cost would be substantial to cover everything: both medical and non-medical.
“It is quite a task, and I like to say that I am standing at the foot of Mount Everest. I am not intimidated but like everything [else] I proceed in faith,” he said.
