Simon Foster, one of this country’s leading fashion designers, is dead.
Foster, who has been credited with placing the local fashion industry on the international map, died tonight while taking a walk along Paynes Bay, St James, not far away from his popular business venture, Simon Peter Disciples of Style.
Foster was headed to his home in nearby Jubilance Cottage, Sandy Lane.
Guyanese-born Foster, 68, who was schooled in England, was a cofounder of the Barbados Children’s Trust Fund and donated much of his classy fashion designs to local charities. (MK)
